The Makerspace is downstairs on the first floor, across from Web Alley and next to the computer classroom.

What is the Makerspace and where is it?

A Makerspace is a place to get the training, tools, and partnerships you need to turn your ideas into physical things. We make stuff!
A lot of stuff.. If building crazy robots and circuit boards is your deal then we are the place to be. Not your speed? How about crafts: from jewelry making to sewing machines and computer-programmable craft cutters, we have you covered. All of our classes are free and advertised in our monthly newsletter, as well as right here on this page. Check the calendar to stay up to date on our latest activities. Each class is facilitated by an instructor familiar with the topic. Stop on by and get making.

We want local makers to share their skills. We think one of Missoula's greatest strengths is its community. Help the Missoula maker community grow by volunteering to teach a maker class. Any making skill is valuable. If you have a knowledge of chemistry or electronics, great! If you can sew up a storm or are a wiz with a paintbrush, then we want you. Come share your expertise with the Missoula Public Library Makerspace.

Not sure if you want to teach a class? Come supervise the space instead. We want responsible individuals to monitor the Makerspace for a few hours a week. The more monitors we have, the more often the space can be open to the public.
